The seaside resort Neptun was the preferred summer destination of the dictator during the communist area. Still a dash of old elegance remains including the summer palace which today is a state building for official guests. However Neptun is today a modern, updated and lively resort during summer, Black Sea beaches and local lakes are all withing walking distance form the town centre and any hotel.
